Monkeys of Mathran

Matheran has hundreds of monkeys wandering all over and causing mischief. Tourists love to take pictures of them, especially of the baby monkeys plying with each other. However monkeys are more interested in the food and the variety of the new items they can play with. Tourist who are not aware of that many times leave the windows open and cameras and other objects in open areas. Guess what? Before can you turn around the food and the objects disappear and the monkeys are gone in the trees. I thought I had closed the window ( but did not latch it properly), the monkeys got in my room and tried to taste my paints but left them alone. However the chocolates that I had brought as gift for some friends, were gone by the time I got back to the room!
